A story about Torikai Shuzo shochu distillery
you will want to tell your friends about

In the year 2000, President Torikai bought a mountain forest in the suburbs of Hitoyoshi city originally to stop a city plan to build an industrial waste disposal site in this area. Five years later, the new distillery, which stands alone in the mountains, was completed.  When we asked President Torikai why he decided to build the distillery here, he said, "We as humans are kept alive by nature, but some don't realize this and continue to destroy. There is no way that the city plan could be allowed."

Nature has been preserved, and nothing has been touched by human hands except building the distillery. At present, the distillery isn't open to the public, but the company's website shows the clear mountain stream with the gorgeous forest scenery surrounding the distinctive distillery.  'Ginka Torikai,' a shochu made in such a unique, beautiful location, when served "on the rocks" will delight your taste buds with pure ginjo aroma and you will know you are drinking something special. And please share the experience of "Ginka Torikai" (and the distillery website) with your friends. They will thank you too.
